Program overview
The Computer System and Architecture program provides deep understanding of how computers work at the hardware and system level. Students learn to assemble, configure, maintain, and repair computer systems, as well as understand the architecture that underpins modern computing.
Starting with the fundamentals of digital logic and computer organization, students progress to hands-on system building, operating system installation, hardware diagnostics, and performance optimization. Our lab provides access to a variety of computer hardware for disassembly, assembly, and troubleshooting exercises.
Advanced topics include server hardware, storage systems, virtualization technologies, and system integration. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in IT support, system administration, and hardware engineering roles across Rwanda's technology sector.
